Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Declared 31st of January as Deadline for Old Naira Notes Legality

  Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) via the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele has urged Nigerians to deposit told naira notes in exchange for new notes in the bank as old notes will cease to be legal at the end of January 2023. In an announcement he made on the 25 th of January 2023, he said… "I must say here that unfortunately, I don’t have good news for those who feel that we should shift the deadline. My apologies. The reason is because we feel 100 days should be enough for those who have the old currency to deposit the money in the banks…100 days, we believe is more than adequate". Recall that the new naira notes started circulating on December 15 2022 after its announcement by the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele. although, there has been reports about the new naira notes fading due to contact with water.

41 People Killed in Russian Passenger Plane Fire

Dozens of people, including at least two children, were killed when a Russian passenger jet crash-landed at a Moscow airport, bursting into flames on impact and bouncing down the runway. Forty-one people died when Aeroflot plane made the emergency landing Sunday at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, said Elena Markovskaya, a member of the country's Investigative Committee. Initial reports said the Aeroflot Superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk, a Russian city in the Arctic circle, when an emergency on board forced it to turn back. Video of the incident showed the plane skidding down the airport's runway, its rear section ablaze and spilling thick, black smoke. I’m Far More Educationally Qualified Than Atiku, Says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has accused the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, of not possessing the statutory educational qualification to contest the February 23, 2019 election. But in a reply filed on his behalf on Wednesday by his lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), the President said he possessed more than the constitutionally required educational qualifications to contest the election. Nigerian Road Safety Hits Bus Driver With a Stone Till He Collapse Because Of Money

A bus driver was hit on the head by a RRS tow-man. This incident happened along highway of Mowe. The bus driver was trying to change his punctured Tyre when the RRS  arrived and claimed he didn't have adequate safety tools. They took into action by trying to tow the bus to their station after so much pleading from the driver. The tow-man was so full of him self that he started a physical combat with the driver because he knows he has the backup of the RRS (road safety)men. The tow-man arrogantly took a stone and hit it on the driver's head which lead to the driver collapsing and the RRS men didn't take any action on what the man did instead they were still bent on towing the bus probably to extort money from him.
