The latest meeting between ASUU and FG, held on Monday Night (10th Dec, 2018) has ended without any resolution at sight. The Federal Government, once again, promised that they are "taking all necessary steps" to ensure that ASUU demands are met. The Union on the other hand said they would wait until after the next meeting on 17th Dec, 2018 to decide whether or not to call off the strike. The meeting was presided by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige since the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education were both absent. The Federal Government will again meet with the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) on Monday, 10th Dec, by 4pm, over the ongoing nationwide strike.
